Following on from the successful installation of the 80m SLX5 PMM (permanent met mast) at Langhope Rig Windfarm, KONA are delighted to announce that we have secured another two contracts with SSE Generation Development to install four more SLX5 PMMs on wind farm sites in Scotland – two at Strathy North and two at Dunmaglass Wind. Both wind farms are currently under construction.
The SLX5, our self-supporting model, is designed to BS8100 & BS5950 to support meteorological instruments and sensors for 25 years on site service life.
This order represents over 1000 masts installed by our company to date and 18 years continuous work with SSE.
